.1918 .925 antique Art Deco George V round bubble glass sterling silver lidded vanity powder bowl jar

A classic and clean lined Art Deco era silver and glass vanity jar, hallmarked for sterling silver Sheffield, circa 1918. The silversmiths mark of CM is possibly for Charles May.

The well weighted and large hallmark silver lid has a beautiful scroll script monogram reading for DP. The weight of the sterling silver is a solid 33.1 grams.

The lovely and bulbous shaped glass powder jar is nice and large at 110mm diameter with no chips in the glass. 

With the hallmarked silver lid, the vanity jar stands at a good 70mm high.
