These incredibly beautiful hand painted earrings were made from hard-paste porcelain from the Limoges region of France.
The Limoges porcelain was known for the delicate, hand-painted designs, which often featured floral motifs or portraits of Victorian and Edwardian dames and gentlemen with rich detailing in gold.
These era 1940s Limoges earrings were from two incredibly finely painted porcelain buttons. The buttons feature two finely painted Edwardian ladies in a garden setting, each button unique and each romantically bordered with a rich gold baroque scroll frame. The porcelain buttons are glued onto hand made silver earring fittings.
