An exceptional early Victorian piece of historic beauty.
This Baroque style, Etruscan revival, high carat gold accented Anglo-Indian antique tiger or lion claw is just beautiful.
It is elaborately decorated with a high carat buttery yellow gold detailing that is made up of Baroque style fringe detailing and a gorgeous, solid, twisted rope accenting that holds the o-ring on top.
The lion / tiger claw pendant carries great Victorian sentiment, where lion and tiger claws were brought back from the “conquest lands” as signs of valour and bravery.
This claw pendant is truly gorgeous and a rare and desirable treasure.
The pendant is not marked but tests as higher than 14ct (between 14ct and 18ct) and the chunky o-ring testing as 9ct gold.
It is solid, glorious and beautiful and hangs at 47mm x 35mm wide.
It is a desirable treasure.
Please note that the sale of this claw pendant does not include the chains and other pendants / charms pictured.
