An exceptionally rare, Georgian era flat top Garnet gemstone brooch in the form of a Tiara spray.
It is a rare and magnificent piece with the 14 Garnets being cut in the traditional Georgian flat top style and foil set for extra glimmer and shine. The back of the brooch is unmarked gold, testing as minimum 14ct gold.
The Garnet gemstones symbolises perseverance and strength and is known as a “commitment stone,” which reinforces tenacity and commitment.
This is an incredible and rare table top cut gemstone treasure. The brooch opens and closes with a hand formed c-clasp brooch mechanism and secures with an extra safety chain. The brooch pin is not gold.
The tiara shape suggests that this brooch could possibly have been a hair clip or comb earlier on in its life.
