An exceptional piece of Victorian history.

This small Victorian wreath or target circle brooch is a well made sterling silver beauty that is accented with 5 grey agate pebbles.

This late 1800s Victorian era brooch was crafted and set with local Scottish Highland gems.

Agate was very popular during the reign of Queen Victoria and was much celebrated after her purchase and great love for the Scottish Balmoral Estate.

Historically Agate was associated with protection, while the target brooch would have evoked a sense of focus and strength.

This small beauty is in amazing antique condition and opens and closes with an era specific c clasp.

Dimensions:  21.5mm diameter.
