The round French medallion is nicely detailed with a well known traditional Catholic prayer, often found on the Miraculous Medal.
The script frames the Holy Virgin Mary standing on a snake, symbolising her as the "New Eve" who reverses the original sin of Eden. Translated to English, the French inscription surrounding Mary reads for "O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to you”.
The reverse of the medallion is inscribed with the text “Good Conduct” and fringed with a wreath of St. Joseph’s Lily and an Acorn loreal.
