A gloriously beautiful antique Victorian Scottish lace agate heart pendant.
This love token heart pendant was hand crafted and engraved in unmarked sterling silver. The heart is a lovely medium size and is solid with a wonderful puffy profile. It is set with three grey Montrose Blue banded agate segments and hand engraved around the stone settings.
Scotland is known for its abundance of colourful agate, with Queen Victoria historically having much loved Scottish agate. This resulted in the Scottish Pebble" craze which caused it to become highly collectable and much used in sweetheart token jewellery.
This beautiful antique heart pendant has been tested as sterling silver and is set on a simple silver o-ring.
The dimensions is 24mm hang x 19mm wide x 8mm “puffy” or thick. The pendant has a wonderful weight of 5 grams.
