This exceptionally fine and deep engraved silver locket holds a very detailed robin bird as centre with trumpet flowers, ivy leaves and leaf filigree all around. The skill to have executed such fine engraving is truly incredible…
The "Victorian trumpet flower" symbolised wealth and splendid beauty, with the ivy leaf representing everlasting love, friendship, and deep affection. The Robin bird held affection of good tidings and new beginnings with spiritual comfort of one’s past.

The antique Victorian silver locket is really a lovely large oval locket, measuring 63.5mm hang x 41mm wide.
It has no markings (in keeping with older Victorian silver) but has been tested to confirm being sterling silver. The bail is a later addition and is marked 925.
An incredible piece of historic beauty.
