This lovely sentimental Maltese Cross shaped mourning brooch would have held representation for truth, faith, justice and mercy.
This treasure is a three dimensional, detailed Maltese cross with a lovely leaf engraved centre flanked with two lower layers of star and cross dimensions.It’s magical.
On the reverse the silver brooch is hallmarked for Birmingham circa 1887 and holds an oval glass locket frame to store memories and keepsakes.Currently a black and white gentleman is held in reverence.
