This magnificent era 1890s to 1900s German 800 silver flower locket is from the Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) era. The Jugendstil art movement was part of the Aesthetics era, with the mission statement of beauty for beauty’s sake.
This German silver mirror locket is highly detailed with the glorious Chrysanthemum flower on the front and opens and closes in a scissor action to reveal a double mirror inside.
This superb, historic flower locket is a large size pendant with dimensions of 60mm hang x 33mm wide and a wonderful weight of 22.3 grams.
The silver mark is for German 800 silver. The mirror locket is in exceptional antique condition. A true heirloom treasure.
