A gloriously well presented and well preserved heirloom piece.

I think this is the perfect Victorian to early Edwardian 9ct gold antique lion or tiger claw pendant.

It is a beautiful medium sized talisman token and is so eloquently set in 9ct marked gold.  

The lion and tiger claw talisman tokens are  steeped in Victorian sentiment, as lion and tiger claws were brought back from the “conquest lands” as signs of valour and bravery. 

This excellently presented lucky talisman token is set in a warm, rosey antique gold with a scalloped cap setting. The pendant hangs at 37mm long x 24mm wide from tip to opposite top. 

It’s an incredible and beautiful antique token.

The gold pendant bail seems to be a later, mid century modern addition to the early 1900s claw setting.
