A magnificent and large, highly ornate antique sterling silver pendant.
The solid silver, hallmarked circ
a 1896 pendant is one part of an upcycled baroque revival, fancy filigree form belt buckle. This side of the belt buckle depicts a right facing winged Cherub angel figure blowing a trumpet. The cherub figure sits on the high rise centre and is surround by a fancy filigree, baroque scroll border.
The sterling silver hallmark reads for London, circa 1896. It also holds the silver F mark for imported silver works (importers mark into England for the period 1867 - 1904).
I upcycled the buckle form into a pendant by adding a chunky bail and swivel ring. This sale is for the right facing cherub angel.
His pendant has dimensions of 66mm hang x 44mm wide x a solid 14.8grams.
