.190 .1940s collectors Georg Jensen Sterling Silver #190 Henning Koppel design screw back Denmark designer earrings

An heirloom of Danish Design, this #190 earring design by the famed Henning Koppel (1918-1981) of the Georg Jensen firm, is perfectly stamped with the post 1945 GJ Hallmarks for 925S, Denmark.

The earrings are in wonderful near perfect vintage condition and are presented in the original light green Georg Jensen gift box. 

Henning Koppel collaborated and designed for the Jensen firm from 1946 and was responsible for what has become known as the “Danish design". Koppel studied sculpture at the Royal Danish Academy and later in Paris. During his life, he won numerous design awards including the Milan Triennial, the International Design Award and the Lunning Prize.  His Jensen marked jewellery remains current and much desired. 

This pair of #190 marked earrings are in the original screw back presentation with dimensions 42mm hang x 30mm wide. 

The earrings weigh a combined 11.4 grams in sterling silver.
