In antique sentiment, keeper rings were for enduring love, loyalty, and protection, historically worn to literally "keep" precious wedding bands secure.
Originating in the Victorian era, these thick and traditionally braided rings represented a secure, unbreakable bond between partners.
This lovely all 9ct gold ring is hallmarked for Chester England, circa 1900.
The antique ring is hollow form with the top of the ring being finely decorated with a plated weaved knot pattern and further accented with Etruscan style knobs.
It is beautiful and has a lovely, antique warm gold tone.
It is to be noted that the hollow form ring has a hole in each shoulder side. The ring has been thoroughly checked by my Goldsmith and is strong and lovely and an heirloom for many more years of committed wear.
Ring size: M.
