An exceptionally beautiful antique artisan made flower pendant.
Hand painted with great precession and skill, the red Carnation flower is a beautiful reverse glass rendition.
The Carnation flower is the traditional January birthday flower with the red Carnation holding symbolism for deep love, passion and admiration.
The Carnation flower is a recess mould in the back of the domed, oval glass, which was then historically painted by the artist with enamel paint to fill the recess and shadows of the mould.
The domed glass is framed in a rope border, gold plated pendant setting, with a nice large presentation of 54mm hang x 34mm wide.
Please note that a small piece of enamel paint has disappeared with age. I find that when the pendant is presented in wear against clothing, then the missing paint is not noticeable.I have priced the pendant accordingly.
