A sweetheart token and treasure. 

A large and magnificent circa 1901 Birmingham hallmarked English sterling silver regimental sweetheart brooch steeped in sentiment and meaning. 

The brooch is made of a life buoy with the text “to seek and to save that which is lost” that scrolls around the buoy. The phrase is a direct quote from Luke 19:10 in the Bible. Inside the buoy is a flag with a bible and a swallow depicted, relaying the message of evangelism and missionary work - to "save the lost” and reinforcing God's active search for individuals.

This brooch is truly is a gorgeous brooch with beautiful sentiment. It  is in exceptional antique condition. 

Dimensions:  40mm x 42mm with a solid silver weight of 17.3 grams.
