A treasure of early 1900’s China, this glorious “old Jade” necklace is a collection of tiny hand carved green Aventurine gemstone beads, carved in the shape of bamboo links.
The three string gemstone necklace is graduated in length from 55cm to 60cm total run. The necklace opens and closes with a most loveliest of oval shaped silver box clasps. The box clasp is marked “silver” with a slight gold wash overlay.
This style of necklace was popular during the Chinese Export period of the 1920s to 1940s (Art Deco era), featuring genuine green aventurine gems which was frequently referred to as "Old Jade”.
The gorgeous green Aventurine gemstones are individually hand-knotted, securing with the beautifully crafted Chinese export silver box clasp.
