This sword brooch is a rendition of the historic Brooch of Lorne, a legendary Scottish medieval artefact.

The sword of Lorne was traditionally believed to have been torn from Robert the Bruce during the Battle of Dalrigh.

The silver sword and Amethyst paste crystal decorated shield is a solid silver piece marked for Ward Bros.
