Iris Glass was a Czech made glass paste stone to mimic the rainbow colours of rainbow quartz. Developed in Bohemia (modern day Czech) during the late 19th / early 20th century, the paste stone was highly popular during the Art Deco era.

The graduated Iris Glass paste stones on this lovely silver necklace is set in the typically minimalist prong setting of the Riviere necklace setting - focus drawn purely to the 5 diamond cut Iris Glass paste stones which glimmer perfectly to this day.

The 42cm long half Riviera necklace holds 5 paste stones set onto a perfectly preserved silver curb chain necklace.  The curb chain necklace has a total run of 42cm with an extra o-ring enabling you to wear the chain at a shorter 40cm chain length.

This early 1900’s era chain necklace is marked 835 silver, speaking to the Continental or Bohemian origin of this lovely Riviera necklace. It is glorious.
