Iris Glass was a Czech made glass paste stone to mimic the rainbow colours of rainbow quartz.
Developed in Bohemia (modern day Czech) during the late 19th / early 20th century, the paste stone was highly popular during the Art Deco era. The Iris Glass paste stones are set in the typically minimalist prong setting of the era specific Riviere necklace setting - focus purely on the diamond cut Iris Glass paste stones which glimmer perfectly to this day.
The 44.5cm long Riviera necklace holds 12 paste stones with a delicate yet perfectly preserved gold brassy tone chain linking the run of the necklace.It’s lovely.
The Iris Glass Riviera necklace is completed with a lovely, matching pair of earrings. The single Iris Glass stone earrings were originally screw on earrings yet have been translated to easy to wear drop dangle earrings. The shepherd hooks are sterling silver, dangling at a total of 18mm. The earrings secure with well fitting silicon ends.
