A vintage Etruscan revival bronze metal seed pod dangle chain necklace treasure.
I found another of these rare treasures online and it is attributed to a Finish designer called Kalevala Koru (era 1940s - 1950s).This is not confirmed but fits within the style of this designers work.During this timeline the firm was sought after for their high-quality, handcrafted jewellery inspired by Finnish folklore and ancient artefacts.
This gorgeous chain necklace holds 13 bronze metal seed pods which looks much like wheat ears.The pods are suspended from a small blue bead that hides within the husk of the pod.The slightly gradient pods are suspended from a fancy link book chain like chain.
Do note that the chain is a short chocker chain at only 35cm in length.Upon request I can assist in adding extra chain length to lengthen this gorgeous necklace.
Note that the similar item (though longer and with more seed pods) was priced in excess of R3000 in 2016.
