This incredible, solid sterling silver Scandinavian leaf swirl bracelet is a four leaf link bracelet by the Swedish designer Birger Haglund.
Birger Haglund was a master Swedish silversmith who had a long career in Sweden, South Africa, Afghanistan and even the West Indies.This silver necklace, marked circa 1946 was just before Birger relocated to South Africa from 1948-1952. He returned to Sweden in 1952 because he opposed apartheid and later in life he was a U.N. advisor. His works are curated in several Scandinavian museums as well as the Victoria and Albert in London.
