This estate find brooch is marked D-A (David Andersen) of Norway and is in wonderful unchipped condition. The soft toned, gold gilded silver highlights the delightful butterfly formation - the wings crisply enamelled in a soft pastel, peppermint ice cream green.
The David Andersen brand is internationally acclaimed and was started by Andersen in Oslo, Norway in 1876. It exists to today, however these modernist enamel pieces are era specific and sought after by collectors.
