.1950s .925 Niello enamel floral engraved sailing boat brooch

A piece of wearable modernist silver art - beautifully set in a sailboat form, this silver brooch I believe is of Egyptian origin.

The silver boat is finely engraved with floral sails, a black Niello enamel boat hull and three sailers bent below the weight of steering the vessel.

The brooch is a flat silver form, it is unmarked (tests positive as 925 silver) and opens and closes with a hand formed c-clasp brooch fitting.

It is a one of a kind beauty. Dimensions: 40mm high x 42mm wide.
