A glorious and much desired 8 pointed star burst pendant, encrusted with a perfectly clear cluster of diamond paste gemstones.
This gorgeous piece is a Victorian revival item with a London sterling silver hallmark for circa 1968.
The 8 pointer star is a much loved and revered symbol of hope, guidance and eternity. Stars have been treasured as signs of good omens and symbols of deepest desires.
This spectacular diamond paste brooch is further detailed with 8 pearl bursts and a central pearl accent. It is hallmarked for England 925 silver with the London date mark for 1968 and a silversmith LS Ltd (possibly Levi & Salaman Ltd - not confirmed).
The diamond paste gemstones are in good vintage condition. The pendant was originally a pendant and brooch item but the original brooch fitting was a screw in fitting (now missing).
The star pendant measures a good size of 38mm in diameter. Please note that no chains or other items is included in the sale of this star pendant
