.1950s .375 .9ct beautiful bow brooch solid 9ct gold hallmarked circa 1950 South African Ribbon bow brooch

I am  a little smitten by this artist made, hallmarked, solid 9ct gold 1950 South African gold ribbon brooch.  It is magical and so wonderfully executed.

Bows and ribbons impart the meaning of unity, of eternity, of remembering and remembrance, or being 'tied' together. 

This wonderful, hand made bow brooch is nicely sized at 57mm long x 18mm wide. 

It is beautifully hand engraved and is a solid and well made treasure.
