The pierced gaps are bigger than traditional tea infuser holes and would lend the infuser to East European dried tea leaves and traditional Indian and Chinese Chai.
The spherical tea infuser ball opens and closes securely with a hooded lid and hangs from a long 13.5cm chain.
The spherical ball is large at a 56mm diameter.
The ball is unmarked but acid tests as silver and weighs a good 44.7grams
