A perfect and large Georgian hallmarked sterling silver berry spoon.
This well sized and magnificence berry spoon dates from circa 1808 for Robert Rew of London, England.
"Berry Spoons" are so called because of the embossed fruit decorations in their bowls. In the mid 19th century the service of fresh fruit and preserved fruit became popular at dinner parties. Hence the Berry Spoon was born.
This well made Berry spoon measures 22.7cm long and weighs a good and solid 59 grams.
