On close inspection, it is incredible to see the artisan workmanship - how this brooch is truly hand made and how each diamond paste gemstone is hand set and chased into the silver sword.
It is difficult to estimate the age of this rare and exquisite sword brooch, as the brooch fitting is more 1920s 1930s in design yet the makers profile and lack of silver marking puts this brooch in the 1890s 1900s era.
