A wonderful Victorian antique Scottish Luckenbooth brooch with the stunning heart and crown design. 

The well made and beautiful Victorian sterling silver brooch is accented with green and terracotta orange agate pebbles.  Also known as pebble brooches, these brooches were crafted in Scotland to hold many local designs and meanings and set with the local gemstones found in the Scottish Highlands.  The Luckenbooth heart could be set with a crown or a thistle and was given as a love token thought to ward off evil spirits. This beauty is in amazing antique condition and opens and closes with an era specific c clasp.
